2

HIRE

Once you accept our estimate and hire Platinum Home Exteriors, we will schedule your metal roof project.

3

PROJECT PREP

First we use tarps and EQUIPTER to protect your yard and flower beds if we are tearing off the old roofing. Then we remove existing shingles or roofing material if you are not getting a layover.

4

CHECK DECKING

Platinum checks your roof deck, ensuring the wood decking is still solidly nailed down and replacing any rotted or damaged decking. Then, we check to make sure your ridge has the correct opening for ventilation. If you are getting a layover roof we install 1x3s to your roof.

5

PROTECT

If we do a tear-off, we add ICE and WATER GUARD along your roof gutter edge, valleys, and any low slope, then add a quality Synthetic UNDERLAYMENT on the rest of your roof. This is very important to protect your roof decking if water gets underneath your metal roofing material after storm damage.

6

INSTALL

We install drip edge and then your choice of metal with all the correct flashing’s to insure a watertight seal on your roof. We install a ridge vent underneath the ridge cap so your attic can breath and has proper ventilation. Lastly we install a snow bar to make so the snow doesn’t come sliding off your roof and damage the gutters.

7

CLEAN-UP

CLEAN-UP is a TOP PRIORITY we cleanup the tarps and any roofing scrap pieces ,using powerful magnets on wheels to pick up any nails or screws that could have slipped onto the flower beds and yards .We haul away trash . Our mission is to have you’re place looking the same as it did before we started.
